The Unication Rechargeable Battery Pack is an optional power source for the Unication UniMax Alert and Ring Tone Amplifier. This backup power source ensures amplifier operation during AC power outages and also if one wants to use the UniMax in mobile situations.

The Battery Pack consists of three “AA” NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) rechargeable batteries and has a maximum charging time of 10 hours from a completely discharged condition. The only charger for the Battery Pack is through the UniMax Amplifier and its connected wall transformer.

To install the Battery Pack in the UniMax, first remove the retaining screw in the battery door at the bottom of the amplifier and lift off the battery compartment cover. Then simply insert the pin connector from the Battery Pack into the mating connector inside the battery compartment of the UniMax. Reinstall the battery cover with the retaining screw to complete the installation.

The green Power LED will automatically light when the amplifier is powered by the wall transformer and charging the Battery Pack.
