The Airspace AI-1200 Carbon Monoxide Gas Monitor with LCD includes all the features
and performance of the AI-1100 CO Monitor and adds an LCD display that shows accurate CO gas concentration
levels from 12 to 250 parts per million (ppm). The new “Rev 2” version of the AI-1200 includes a white LCD
backlight for reading ppm levels in low light conditions and can be activated at any time by pressing the
multi-purpose button. Airspace gas monitors use advanced Gas Sensor AGS Technology™, a highly sensitive
solid-state semiconductor sensor that responds quickly when detecting CO gas, requires no routine
calibration and comes with a full 5 year warranty. A free 30 day demo unit is available upon request.
Airspace Gas Monitors are powered by two (2) AA alkaline batteries that can provide up to four months
of typical operation during an 8 hour shift, 5 days a week. 24/7 battery life will be up to 40 days
(assuming a no gas detected condition) or can be extended by selecting the motion switch management. When
motion switch management is enabled, the Monitor will automatically turn on whenever the Monitor is moved
and turn off after 45 minutes of no movement or non-zero gas readings. With the motion switch enabled, any
new movement will cause the Monitor to actively sense for another 45 minutes. For maximum battery
life, motion switch management should be used when the Monitor will be moved infrequently, for
example, less than a couple of times per day.
The CO Monitor provides both audible and visual alarms. The AI-1200 has three different alarm levels
for CO: low at 30 ppm, medium at 60 ppm, and high at 120 ppm. The audible alarm as well as the optional
vibrator alarm can be temporarily silenced with the alarm silence button.
Airspace offers an optional Bump Test Kit in order to perform a gas verification test of the monitor
and recommend that such a test be performed on a periodic basis. By exposing the monitor to a gas
that exceeds the alarm levels, one is able to verify that the monitor is fully functional. With
the monitor’s relatively low cost of purchase and low cost to maintain, you may want to consider
replacing your existing gas monitors rather than just replacing their sensors.
